My family joined the private tour today and absolutely fell in love with it. The crew was very welcoming and friendly, and they really made the tour personalised and special for us! The food was fresh off from the ocean and they are super delicious and the oyster is the best we have tried ever! There are so many options with the drinks and they also pair fabulously with the food. I would highly recommend going on this tour because it is such a special experience that my family is keen to do again next year! What a fantastic immersive experience. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this tour if you love seafood and champers and a great time. We started our journey out to the Mussel farm by being treated to some lovely oysters and bubbly together with a platter of locally sourced produce. Then the real fun began once at the farm with the lifting of the mussel line and the harvesting of those gigantic mussels. And we tried them raw!  Interesting experience. The lovely Connie then taught us how to clean and cook them. What a feast we had!  These mussels are absolutely delicious. This has been one of the best tours we’ve done in a long time. Absolutely outstanding experience with Portarlington Mussel Tours!

From start to finish, this tour was perfect. It was genuinely educational, and the food was a highlight, perfect mussels and Melbourne oysters, plenty of drinks, and cooking demonstrations that really added to the experience. We even got to try mussels raw, straight from the sea, which was amazing.

The boat itself was beautiful, with plenty of space and a great mix of outdoor and indoor seating areas to relax in.

We ate, drank, and learned so much, couldn't recommend this tour more highly. If you're after a fun, informative, and delicious day out on the water, this is it!

This tour is amazing. The local food and wines which were served when we arrived were delicious. We learnt so much about mussels. Had the most spectacular time with my partner and mother-in-law on the Classic Mussel Tour! This is a really special premium experience with warm, friendly service from Lizzie, Lance, Leo and Steph, amazing food and wine, fascinating stories and a fabulous boat. What an amazing day out. The service and food was fantastic and they certainly went beyond themselves to make it such a special trip. Thank you for taking the time and care to not only supply myself with alternative options for drinks but also to Lance for your insights into the mussels world. On top of that, making it a special celebration of our birthdays with the extra gifts and exclusive whiskey shots (yummo). Awesome and personal service from the wonderful team and the food and drinks were second to none.
Learning about mussels from conception through to harvesting and cooking was exceptionally delivered by the knowledgeable and expert team.
